Role Overview

We are hiring middle to senior-level PHP developers for a stable large-scale e-commerce platform - Saas Marketplace Varis, with a modern stack, a strong team, and a flexible schedule.

Our stack includes: PHP (Symfony), Kubernetes, Azure, Ansible, Rancher, Jenkins, Splunk, New Relic, Solr, MongoDB/CosmosDB, Redis, and Kafka.

I started with the project in 2014, recruiting a team and moving BuyerQuest to a new level. It is not so important to me what to do and with whom. Common sense, transparency, and responsibility are my life and work principles. Work hard - play hard, and we will get results together. This is a win-win story.

02. We are looking for


We are looking for:

  • A troubleshooter from heaven.

  • With at least 3 years of experience in web development.

  • At least 2 years of experience with Symfony.

  • At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes.

  • OOP/Design patterns.

  • DDD/TDD.

  • PHP 7/8.

  • JavaScript/AJAX.


  • MySQL/Solr.

  • MongoDB.

  • Git.

03. Overview

Project History

In 2014, Varis was still called BuyerQuest and was a purchasing system. As of Today, the task of a business project is the same - scaling. Only in 2014, it was about launching a catalog with 100 thousand - 2 million products, and now - about 40 clients - marketplaces. The deadline for completing the task is the end of this year.

About 500 Software Engineers from all over the world are working on its achievement, but Software Engineers from Ukraine are also the core. Two of our teams have already been successfully functioning for more than a year, and we are currently recruiting the third one.

Today, the project is no longer a startup that requires investment, as it was in 2014. It became a stable and dynamically developing business project, which was bought by Varis.

To manage our teamwork, we will use Kanban - a popular framework to implement agile and DevOps software development. It requires real-time communication of capacity and full transparency of work.
